The hotel is aslo in a great location within walking distance to all the Old San Juan attractions. Most important though was how hopsitable and helpful the staff were. Cynthia gave me so many wonderful restuarant reccomendations and directions and helped me and a couple at the hotel find a tour guide to El Yunque when our original guide canceled in the morning. As a solo traveler unfamiliar to Puerto Rico this was beyond helpful. They will also hold your luggage while you go explore. I would absolutely stay here again anytime I revisit Old San Juan. So glad I chose it. The room was lovely, as was the rest of the hotel, with beautiful views of the city from several spots. What's more is the staff were gracious! I injured my arm while in the city, they provided me with a bucket of ice and small plastic bags. Then after we checked out, we realized we had left something behind in the room. We called them from the airport. The item was found and they sent it to us (back to NY) and we received it the next week. I could not have been happier with their level of compassion and responsibility. read less

I’ve been unable to reach any office person during the day and I landed at 4 AM but I decided to swing by anyway and see. The night desk manager, Michael, was super helpful, kind and stored or two bags for us. He also directed us to the best breakfast joint in old San Juan. I’m hoping the restless day will be as delightful as Michael was. read less

What this hotel is, is purely authentic old town San Juan. From the moment you enter you will go back in time and feel like it's 1900, but with excellent air conditioning. Each room we saw was well appointed and the artwork is great. We had room H9 which was upstairs and opened up onto the sun deck. We had easy access to the outdoor tubs, which seem cheesy, but after a long day of walking and sweating are the perfect way to soak out the aches and enjoy a beer. The breakfast is nothing spectacular, but a couple of eggs, yoghurt, toast and coffee was enough to get me moving and I didn't have go looking. The hotel has an understated luxury that I found more alluring than a big named, box hotel. There will be cats on the terrace, you will hear the neighbors dogs bark, not ever surface is level and the furniture is period. The hotel marries modern with antique in a manner that keeps you comfortable, yet allows you to embrace the classic. If you are staying in the old city, stay here. It will really complete the experience. read less

The cleanliness of our rooms really stood out. Our first stay was a huge room with a sitting area. (See picture.). We had to carry our luggage up stairs though to get to it. The second stay (a week after we came back from our cruise) provided a very small room which was hard to maneuver around 5 pieces of luggage. We were able to use the elevator to access our room then though. Staff was helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze. We were able to drop off our luggage until check-in in a small room off the lobby which was great for our timing. read less

We were both very pleased with the level of service we received. Our flight arrived early on the 8th. Michael (night shift coordinator) was on duty when we arrived. He stored our luggage and suggested a great cafe to go have breakfast. When we returned Jorge the daytime service coordinator was on duty. For a very small fee we were able to have early check in as they had a room made up for us while we were at breakfast.
Other members of our group arrived later that afternoon, & Jorge made sure they knew where to find us.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and each is unique. My superior suite had a blacony overlooking the main street and i loved sitting out here. The beds and pillows are COMFORTABLE. Had several great nights of sleep. My only suggestion for change is that there be a fridge included inside the rooms. Cold water (without running to the lobby for ice) and the ability to save left over food from the amazing local restaurants would have made things a bit easier for us. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to do so in the future. read less

As with most of Old San Juan, uneven surfaces make it less desirable for people with instability or other mobility issues. But for the more able, this is the perfect place to stay in OSJ. Cool decor, intriguing artwork, fountain in the courtyard, fabulous 2nd floor roof terrace. We commandeered the breakfast room one evening with a takeout dinner, a bottle of rum, pineapple juice, coconut milk, and very high spirits. The delightful staff kept us well supplied with ice. A terrific if slightly hazy memory. read less

Their front desk attendants are the BEST! Miguel is always so kind and helpful with recommendations of local food spots.
Near the hotel you have so many bars and a quick walk takes you to the port where all the cruises dock. Right next to hem you can find a ferry which is only .50 cents per way/per person which takes you to the Bacardi factory (a must do in Puerto Rico)
Also I love the rooms. The beds are very comfortable, cozy and great for a good night sleep. The decoration is jaw dropping... again I can stay here for a little longer. The bathrooms are well equipped and if you need a hair dryer or steamer than you can request one with your personalized room tablet. So convenient! You ale your request and one do the kind front desk guys will come up and bring over to you.

CasaBlanca Hotel is right in the center of shops, restaurants and historic sites. It is easy walking distance from the forts and a beautiful walk around the sea walls. The rooms were adorable and quaint. There wasn't a lot of storage (no closet, just a rack with three hangers, etc.) But, who comes to Old San Juan for storage? Our room had a cute balcony (shared with the neighboring room) overlooking the cobblestone street. The restaurant was only open for breakfast, but the food smelled good (we aren't breakfast people, so we didn't try it.) Truly, the very best thing about the hotel was the staff. Miguel and Jorge were SO friendly and helped us make plans and navigate the city. At one point we got lost looking for a gas station - so we were low on gas, stuck in traffic and my phone for some reason wouldn't connect to the internet in a foreign country.......so I called the front desk and shared my panic attack with Miguel. I couldn't even see the street names, but I described the buildings around me and he figured out where we were and talked us to a gas station and set us on the path back to the hotel. He will always be a hero to us. We loved our stay there and give it our highest recommendation. read less
